Об этом сообщили в дирекции Малого театра, где актер служил последние 15 лет, передает ИТАР-ТАСС. Известность Виктор Павлов получил по ролям в кинокартинах «Адъютант его Превосходительства», «Майор Вихрь», «Операция Ы и другие приключения Шурика», «Двенадцать стульев» (1971 года). Виктор Павлов также создал множество ролей на театральной сцене. Он работал в театрах «Современник», Московском театре им. Ермоловой, театре Маяковского. Его последние роли в Малом театре, по словам руководства труппы этого театра, становились настоящими событиями театральной жизни. Его роль Счастливцева в пьесе «Лес» получила премию имени Станиславского. Однако из-за тяжелой болезни в минувшем сезоне он уже не выходил на сцену.
